The 4 Runner (La Rosa) is runnin'...I think!

Well, you know how God is. La Rosa, my 4 Runner 1992 vintage model, seized up last Thursday in Redding BUT the LORD allowed me to share His love with the tow truck driver and he was so thirsty for the LORD, you wouldn't believe it! We had a sweet time together until... THE TIRE BLEW OUT ON THE TOW TRUCK! Yep! We looked at each other and laughed hard! This 28 yr old man who has served in Iraq 3 times didn't get phased by it and neither did this 54 yr old woman who has well, been through a few challenges here and there. It was pretty funny and my two dogs, Moe n' Millie thought it was great fun! We ate berries on the side of the freeway! (Read John 15)

We waited awhile and crammed into a truck with a guy who had THEE most boring life ever. There was no yakking about anything. I asked him if he had done any traveling. "Yep! He smiled. "I've been to Medford!"...Oh... Okay. No hobbies. No college. Has a 2 yr old daughter. "Yep."  I was weary when we finally got home but so thankful how God cares for us.

So, La Rosa busted a few belts and froze up a bearing and Brother Bjers had her fixed up by Monday. Today we are in Redding (I been to Redding!) and we are getting the brackets put on her for the tow hitch. We are really nearly ready to launch. Less than a week. I will have to test drive the toad (That is what you call the car you tow behind a Moho) and see how she does. We'll be just about 45 feet long when all is said and done.

I'm heading to Washington for a few weeks, then perhaps back down the Oregon coast. We'll come into Siskiyou County around the end of Sept for doctor appts, dawg training and to pick up leftover photos at River Run Gallery.

October will be in Northern California, as far as I know. Santa Rosa, Redding, Perhaps Nevada City and here's a catch, I'm showing a Pointing Griffon (Coconino) in her first show in Dixon, Ca! Mind you, I haven't done this since I was 14 and was trained by a woman in SO Cal! We even went to Las Vegas. That is another story. She smoked like a chimney....

I'm telling you, God doesn't waste anything in my life. Seems it all comes around again!

Enough for now. Remember to visit my photos at the River Run Gallery in Weed, CA starting with the opening this Saturday Aug 28th from 2 pm onwards. Complimentary refreshments provided.
God's blessings on you.

  1. Auntie Susan I am always amazed by your stories. I love how easily you share the lord with others :-) Maybe Rosa breaking down was a blessing...it gave you a chance to share God with others and maybe prevented you from getting into worse trouble later down the road. Best of luck on your new adventures. My thoughts, love, and prayers are always with you.

  2. I'm hoping to be at THE BIG EVENT!!! Lord willin'...
Yes, I don't question when He pauses me. It's always for good reason. HE has the perrogative to stop the team of horse and change direction with a divine shout of "Gee!" or "HA!"
    Stay close to Him.
    Much love.
